This is the second issue of the Device Data page that refers to a number
of devices which I have frequently used in my own station design activities but
which may be of interest to other Radio Amateurs as well.
Note that to view some of the device data files you may need to have the Adobe
Acrobat file reader installed on your computer, it is not a large program and
in most modern computers it will already be installed. If it is not, then it
can be downloaded and installed by visiting the
Adobe website on this link and following the instructions.
This is by no means an
exhaustive list of devices, that would be far too a massive effort to mount
and maintain even for the devices and components I use myself.
In that context, for a good resource of remarkable device data, I would refer you
to the website at www.alldatasheet.com at this link
where you may search for devices by number, manufacturer, function and a lot
more besides.

This is the Valves data list, which includes heater voltages and currents as follows:
[valve no.] [category] [base] [heaterv] [heateri] [pinout] [Vanode]
[V(g1)bias] [equivalents/usage].
where:
[valve no.] is the main number of the valve (e.g. EL36)
[category] is the type of valve (e.g. AF, AF o/p, RF amp)
[base] is the
base type (e.g. OCTAL)
[heaterv] is the heater voltage (e.g. 6.3V)
[heateri] is the heater current (e.g. 0.3A) *NEW* - not for all valves
[pinout] is the pinout (e.g. 1:g1 2:k 3:s 4:h 5:h 6:g2 8:g3 9:a)
[Vanode] is the rated anode voltage (e.g. 220V)
[V(g1)bias] is the
control grid bias as quoted (e.g. -8.5V)
[equivalents] are a list of
equivalent valve numbers (e.g. 6L21) or comments
The abbreviations used for electrodes are as follows:
h = heater connection (indirectly heated) s = screening f = filament connection (directly heated, note where + or - quoted) met = metallising (o/s shielding) k = cathode g = grid a = anode bp = beam plates (as in a beam tetrode for example) ad' = anode, diode 1 (same as ad1) ad" = anode, diode 2 (same as ad2) g3/5 = connection to both g3 and g5 (example) k/h = common cathode/heater connection (indirect heating) t = target (as in magic-eye tuning indicators)
Where an electrode is bonded out to more than one pin, then in general both
(or more) pins concerned will be shown (e.g. 1:k 2:g1 3:k ...). When a pin is
either not present or not connected, then it will not be listed (e.g. 2:h 3:g1
5:g2 ...).
